Ms. Sommer started working at Rosenfeld & Rafik in 2006, as a paralegal. While working at Rosenfeld & Rafik, Ms. Sommer completed her law degree from Suffolk University Law School focusing on health law. As an attorney, Ms. Sommer focuses her practice on representing chronically ill and disabled individuals in obtaining private short- and long-term disability benefits as well as Social Security Disability Insurance at both the administrative and judicial levels. Ms. Sommer also represents individuals seeking forgiveness of their loans from the Department of Education as a result of a disability.

Prior to attending law school, in 2004 Ms. Sommer graduated cum laude from University at Albany, New York, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both criminal justice and psychology.
